Supernatural Weapons

When dealing with supernatural creatures, having the right weapon can mean the difference between life or death. Over the centuries of battling monsters, hunters have gathered and developed all kinds of weapons, both mundane and magical. These weapons can range from totally basic things like salt and iron to legendary artifacts like the Colt or the First Blade.

There are a couple of things that a hunter should always try to have on hand.

• Salt: The most basic of all hunter tools. It creates a barrier against ghosts and demons, and when loaded into shotgun shells, can cause serious harm to spirits. It's also used to salt and burn a spirit's bones to disspell them.
• Iron: It disrupts ghosts on contact and can be harmful to many supernatural entities.
• Holy water: This blessed water burns demons like acid.
• Silver:Like the legends say, silver is essential for killing werewolves and shapeshifters, as well as other creatures.
• Dead man's blood: This substance poisons vampires and leaves them weakened and vulnerable, giving the hunter a shot at disposing of them.

Aside from regular items and weapons, there are also those with a long history or an immense power.

• The Colt: A revolver with the power to kill (almost) everything. There are only five creatures that are immune to its power.
• Ruby's knife: A demon-killing blade. Where it came from is unknown.
• Angel blades: Weapons that are capable of killing angels as well as demons.
• The First Blade: Can only be used by the bearer of the Mark of Cain. When these two are combined, this blade becomes the most powerful weapon in existence.
