The Nexus
This faction is largely made up of humans, much like the MoL faction. Students sorted here mostly have ambitions like becoming better hunters, saving people, and killing monsters. Hunters learn skills such as weaponry, combat, and craftsmanship.
They are proficient in hunting, tracking and fighting, but know how to use some magic like small spells and sigils when they need to. Some of their skills could be considered illegal: lock-picking, hacking, using disguises and their knowledge to infiltrate spaces, and so on. However, only certain things are taught in classes.

Characteristics
Hunters are typically just humans who have knowledge of the supernatural and use this to track down and kill monsters, mostly in order to protect other humans. It is common for a person to want to become a hunter due to some event in their life that was caused by the supernatural (relative was killed by a monster, they were attacked, etc.).
Many hunters pass their knowledge on to their kids, which creates famous hunter families like the Winchesters and the Campbell. The reason for this is that many hunters will eventually end up incurring the wrath of a monster, and this usually results in their family being in danger as well - so they educate their kids to prepare them.
Another consequences of monster-hunting is that staying in one place for very long is extremely dangerous. Additionally, hunters typically move from place to place to hunt down monsters, looking for cases to solve or people to protect/save. Most hunters live an almost nomadic life. According to Dean Winchester, hunters never visit the same town twice as they tend to leave behind a big mess. One of John Winchester’s rules is to “never use the same crapper twice”.
Hunters who do have a permanent residence tend to keep to themselves and not socialise very much, not even with neighbours. It is also implied that hunters know of each other, or at the very least the big families do, like the Winchesters and the Campbells.

Allies
According to Henry Winchester, before the MoL became extinct in the US, they would share their knowledge with only the most elite hunters. They took on an advisory role, which Dean called "Being Yoda to our Jedi”.
In some places, shops will sometimes put hunter symbols in their windows to indicate that they know about the supernatural and about hunters, and that they can be of assistance.
Lastly, some psychics will offer their services to hunters.

Skills & Abilities
Some skills were already mentioned before, like lock-picking, tracking & hunting, weaponry, combat and craftsmanship.
Hunters are usually in good physical shape to be able to run, jump, whatever else while fighting monsters. They also posess a lot of knowledge of the supernatural and mythology. Your average hunter is at least decent in almost any weapon, though some have a preference for particular weapons like guns.
They are also really resourceful, capable of using whatever is available as a weapon, or resort to hand-to-hand combat when necessary. A hunter is capable of tracking a monster in almost any kind of terrain, has good tactical skills, and most can also easily read human expressions and behaviour. Another important skill they must master is that of subtlety and of evasion. When the situation calls for it, a hunter must be able to be stealthy and blend in.
Knowledge-wise, most hunters are capable of reading latin and use it in incantations, as well as use sigils. These are employed to summon and exorcise demons, as well as some more basic uses like tracking or trapping monsters. Most hunters keep journals and logs about their travels and hunting, and veteran hunters tend to keep the community up to date on recent developments.

Weaponry
A hunter’s arsenal contains a variety of things. When it comes to guns, many different bullets can be used for many different purposes: silver bullets, iron bullets, witch-killing bullets, … the list goes on. Hunters are excellent at marksmanship.
In addition to guns, the average hunter will also carry other weapons like knives and daggers on their person, as well as salt and many silver and/or iron items. They can also use stakes, holy oil, explosives and supernatural weaponry (think items like angel blades).
Lastly, when it comes to magic, hunters can employ hex bags and charms to harm demons and other monsters, and as mentioned before, they also often employ sigils to do their work.
