Hello everyone,
My name is Solariel, an angel that was sent by God to watch over a very special someone. I am not gonna tell you who, nor will you ever guess, but I can tell that this person is destined for great things. Even if they don’t know yet. However, for me to watch the destined child, I needed to adapt to the human world… And heaven’s, what a world is that…
While I am slowly adapting to my new body and new life here on Earth, I have also discovered that humans have created some of the most interesting and unique ways to deal with their mortality and their loss of angelic powers. While I still prefer to fly to my destination, I have to admit that these busses and cars are truly genius. They even have these fast busses on metal bars on the ground, which are fast enough to keep up with me if I am flying slowly. It made my mind blow and I swear that I almost flew into a building before I realised it wasn’t coming for me but simply following the metal bars on the ground.
Something a little less genius I learned about Earth is the human idea to put glass everywhere. I learned about glass windows on my first day on Earth, as my new home has glass windows too. However I had never heard of a glass roof, a glass floor, or glass doors. They seem awfully impractical to me, as glass allows you to see everything and if I walk around in one of my skirts, I truly don’t want any man to look up and see me from below. Did I say that humans are quite weird? Because I think you’d have to be a little weird to come with the idea of glass floors.
Still, even a glass floor is better than a glass door. The reason for that is very simple… You know you are walking on a glass floor, however you don’t always see a glass door. At least, I didn’t see that stupid glass door when I was walking to the library and walked face first into one of those devil’s blessed items. I honestly felt like everyone was watching me and laughed at me when I realised what had happened and I can’t say I enjoy the feeling of blushing very much. Eventually I figured out how to open these glass doors, but it felt like more than a lifetime had passed and the people around me were still watching me. The library was totally worth it, but I am not a fan of those glass doors.
On my way out I also saw a more positive side of these glass doors. As I was on my way out, I saw a man walking towards the door. He saw me opening the door and held it open for me so I didn’t have to do it myself with all these books in my hand. He was nice and said he hoped I would enjoy these books. Perhaps, if these doors had been solid, neither of us would have known there was someone on the other side and one of us could have easily gotten hurt. So perhaps these glass doors aren’t all bad, but simply very very annoying.
Review:
Even though I also saw a good side about glass doors, I still believe these doors are Satan’s work to punish the humans and hurt them when they least expect it. I know that if I ever were to design a house, I would never put in a glass door. Nor a glass floor or a glass roof for that matter. ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩
