Here we go again.
This time we will take a moment to talk about a specific Band that plays kind of an essential part in this episode

We are at 01x17 “Hell House” we don’t only love it because it's the episode where Sam and Dean are pranking each other, no we also love-hate it because it's the debut of two characters that live the longest in this show. (Honestly, HOW?!)
Yeah, we are talking about Ed and Harry, former founders of the Ghostfacers!

And of course!
The music!

A special part of this episode has the Band Blue Öyster Cult, an American rock band formed in 1967 and still active!
Not only do they have two songs in this one, but they are also part of the plot.
Or at least the symbol of the band.

It is a combination of the sickle of Cronus, the god of harvest and father of Zeus, and the alchemical symbol of lead which is also corresponding with Saturn.
It appears on every album cover of BÖC so it's not really a surprise that Dean noticed this symbol in the Hell House.

We already had one Song of BÖC in our Angel Radio and that was Don’t Fear the Reaper in 01x12 “Faith”!

This time we have Fire Of Unkown Origin which plays at the beginning of the episode as the brothers are riding with Baby, Sam is deep asleep and Dean takes the opportunity to play the first prank on his brother.
After he put a plastic spoon in Sam’smouth and took a photo he turned up the volume and sings along to the song so Sam woke up.
Pure irony, that the lyrics are "A fire of unknown origin took my baby away”
I have a strong feeling, that it is not Sammy's favorite Song…

The second one is Burnin’ for you and it plays as the brothers are interviewing the teenies that were in the Hell House and at the end again when the brothers are driving off.
“I can’t see no reason to put up a fight
I’m living for givin’ the devil his due
I’m burnin’ for you”
Seriously, Supernatural?!

If you look at all three songs you see that Blue Öyster Cult just simply HAD to be in this Show.
It's like they wrote the Songs for the Show!
