Demons and angels come in many forms, mostly because they have to possess humans to be able to stay on Earth and interact with the world. One of the demons that we've met several times through-out the series is Ruby, a demon who had four different vessels through-out the series, though we focus today on actress Genevieve Padalecki.
Ruby was a devoted demon and would have done anything to free Lucifer and let him take a vessel on Earth. While Lilith broke the seals that bound Lucifer, Ruby looked after the 'last special child', also known as Sam Winchester. She later forms an alliance with Sam to safe his brother Dean Winchester, though he ends up killing her with her own knife.
Ruby is described as aggressive, manipulative and deceitful. All of these traits were shown in her alliance with Sam as she deceived him during the alliance and manipulated him into taking demon blood. However, Ruby also claims that she is no ordinary demon as she can still remember her time as a human, though she has said that she wished she wouldn't remember that time. However, she is terrified of angels and after learning about the alliance between Castiel and the Winchester brothers, Ruby stayed clear of Sam. She feared that she would one day meet Castiel, though she feared Alistair more.
Much like Sam Winchester and Ruby did the actors playing these two parts get along too. While Sam was being played by Jared Padalecki, Ruby's last vessel was played by Genevieve Cortese. The two were incredibly close and Jared fell deeply in love with the actress. The two even ended up marrying, making her Genevieve Padalecki.
While Genevieve might have played a demon, she couldn't be anything further from a Demon in real life. She grew up with two brothers and a sister and has a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama. She currently lives in Texas with her husband and their three children, two sons and a daughter.
When we think of Genevieve Padalecki, or Genevieve or Cortese or maybe even Jennifer Cortese she has used quite some names in the credits, the most important series we can think of are Wildfire, where she played Kris Furillo for 51 episodes, and Supernatural, where she played Ruby for a total of 13 episodes. She is currently working on the series Walker, where she will play Emily Walker, the late wife of Colton Walker, who is played by her husband Jared Padalecki.
